This donation will help JNCA achieve the next phase of its mission to restore the mangrove ecosystem north of Cato's Bridge. We are :
- Developing education and outreach materials
- Obtaining permits and Installing informational buoys and other signage to protect seagrasses and mangroves (~$25K)
- Hiring marine engineering firm to prepare construction-ready drawings and obtaining permits for recommended solution ($53K for design and permitting; $65K for bidding process, construction oversight, engineering support)
Once we have an approved design and are ready to implement our final phase, we will be applying for grants and raising additional funds.
